ACADEMICS

LCCS curriculum provides a vigorous, developmentally appropriate education. Core courses led by seasoned educators teach students the essential skills of reading, writing, and arithmetic necessary for academic and personal success. Our school also values our city’s cultural history as well as cross-cultural communication. Thus, we require all middle school students to enroll in a core Spanish course taught by a Sister of Our Lady of Sorrows and offer a New Mexico History course for eighth grade.

RELIGIOUS INSTRUCTION

Prayer begins and ends our day, with this special time being led by eighth grade student prayer leaders. Additionally, all LCCS students receive daily religious instruction as well as attend weekly Mass. The presence of at least three Sisters of Our Lady of Sorrow as permanent educators and school leaders provide a consistent energy of reverence and joy.

Through our school, students also have the opportunity to participate in their First Holy Communions and Confirmations. We encourage all families interested in these special rites to contact the front office to learn more about participating.
