BIOGRAPHY

Coach Brooke Sanchez was a standout basketball player in high school and college. She scored over 3,000-point in her high school career at East Allegheny, and had her No. 5 jersey retired. Among the accolades she received following her senior year were: Pennsylvania Coaches Association Class 2A Player of the Year, First-team All-State, honorable-mention USA Today Pennsylvania Player of the Year, and honorable-mention Street & Smith High School All-American. Coach Sanchez received a basketball scholarship to the University of Pittsburgh and was inducted into both the Pittsburgh Basketball Club Woman’s Hall of Fame in 2022 and the WIAL Hall of Fame in 2025. Brooke graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with degrees in Psychology and Sociology. This is her second year teaching physical education to all grade levels.
