BIOGRAPHY

Jason Barela was born and raised here in Las Cruces, New Mexico. He has been in the education field for the past 21 years, however, this is Mr. Barela’s fifth year as a school teacher. This is also his fifth year at Las Cruces Catholic Schools. Mr. Barela currently teaches third grade. He loves teaching at LCCS because the students are excited to learn and, with the small class size, he really gets to know and understand his students.

Mr. Barela is a Sir Knight with the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus Assembly 3330. He is also a Brother Knight with the Robert G. Gamboa Council 9527 out of Holy Cross Church. Mr. Barela’s goal is not only to teach academics but to also teach life lessons!
