Kevin Vigil is in his third year as Director of Bands at Las Cruces Catholic School. During his time at LCCS, the bands have received consistent Superior Ratings at contests and festivals. His students have also actively and successfully participated in the regional Solo & Ensemble festival and LCPS All-City Honor Band. He attended New Mexico State University where he graduated with his Bachelor of Arts in Music Education.

Kevin also currently serves as Stands Coordinator for the Pride of New Mexico, is the Visual/Marching Instructor and chamber music coordinator at Centennial High School, and directs the NMSU Men’s Basketball Roadrunner Revue Pep Band.

Outside of these duties, he maintains an active private studio of more than 15 students across elementary, middle school, and high school levels. Members of his studio have repeatedly been selected for top chairs in the NMMEA All-State Honor Bands and Orchestras, the NMSU Southwest Honor Bands, EPYSO Chamber Ensembles, the Honors Performance Orchestra in London, and Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps.

He also enjoys an active clinician schedule with multiple schools across the region, lending an ear wherever possible, and serves as a drum major instructor and adjudicator for the region. Outside of teaching Kevin enjoys reading, Lego, fishkeeping, and is an avid McLaren F1 Fan.
